I am a 25-year-old Canadian, cis-gendered female who self-identifies as a feminist.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a double minor in Women’s Studies and Child and Youth Studies. I am currently studying Counselling and will be certified in Spring 2014. There are so many areas I would love to explore career wise, but I think I’ll either get into Mental Health or Sex Therapy…perhaps specialize in counselling transgender youth. Sky is the limit :)
My research interests are: influences on attitudes about sexual violence, sexual agency in girls and young women and the effects of sexual double standards and gender role adherence on the development of sexual identity and sexual relationships in adolescents.
I would probably be considered ‘left-wing’ because of the following:

o I don’t identify with a particular sexual orientation
o I am an ENTHUSIASTIC atheist
o LGBT ally
o Socialist
o Anti-rape and raunch culture
I sing, play guitar and write my own music. I also have an extensive theatre background.
I LOVE cats. I have two adorable kitties.
